For the most demanding environments, subject to high pressures and corrosive substances, SCHOTT’s Heavy Wall Gage Glasses offer formidably robust tubing for challenging industrial applications.

 

CHARACTERISTICS

When used to measure the flow of crude oil or high pressure gas or water, SCHOTT Heavy Wall Gage Glass has a number of clear advantages. Providing outstanding resistance to acid and alkali, as well as excellent hydrolytic resistance and thermal shock protection, Heavy Wall tubing can withstand pressures of up to 600 psi at lengths of 10-24 inches and diameters ranging from 5/8-1-inch outer diameter. This variant offers stable and reliable operation while viewing oil, water or gas flow rates, with a precise, carborundum saw cut end finish.

Tanks and reservoirs

Often referred to as sight glass, Tubular Gage Glass plays an essential role in tanks and reservoirs, offering a simple and efficient way to view liquid levels. Fitting between the upper and lower gage glass valves, the Red Line variant features a red line shaded with white lines to make levels easier to measure.

High and low pressure boilers

The outstanding thermal endurance of SCHOTT Tubular Gage Glasses, along with their strong transparency and reliable performance at high temperatures, make them ideal for liquid measurement in boilers. Molded into transparent tubes, rods, cylinders, or oil cups, our gage glasses enable the operators of high or low pressure boilers to safely and accurately observe the levels inside the appliance.
